The government today clarified that at present there is no such decision to withdraw CISF security from private establishments. <br/><br/>Replying to a question in the Lok Sabha, minister of state for Home Kiren Rijiju said security to public and private institutions is provided based on the threat perceptions and internal security requirements. He informed the House that if CISF is deployed at private institutions, the cost of deployment is normally borne by the institution concerned. Mr Rijiju said efforts are being made to increase the number of personnel in the CISF to two lakh from the present 1 lakh 45 thousand.
