No dearth of funds to meet flood related expenses: Assam govt

<span style="color: #222222;">The Assam government has said that there is no dearth of funds to meet the flood related expenses.<br />'' <br />'' Talking to AIR News, CEO of the Assam State Disaster Management Authority M S Manivannan said that 46 crore rupees were given to district administrations recently under disaster response fund.<br />'' <br />'' Mr. Manivanna said, the state is facing the second wave of floods.<br />'' <br />'' He said, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has instructed to conduct a survey of the landslide prone areas in Guwahati.<br />'' <br />'' He added that the Geological Survey of India and IIT, Guwahati will conduct a survey in this regard.<br />'' <br />'' Mr. Manivannan said that relief camps are being run at affected districts following the norms of Covid-19.<br />''<br />''Over 9 lakh people are affected due to floods in 22 districts. Nearly 30 thousand displaced people have been shifted to relief camps.</span>
