The Election Commission has said that Electronic Voting Machines of Sarojini Nagar and Mohanlalganj assembly constituencies of Lucknow are safe.

The Commission had sent two observers Mr. Arvinder Singh and Mr. Ashim Khurana after following reports of water seepage into a strong room where EVMs of two constituencies are kept. After making proper investigation in the presence of candidates the observers have said that EVMs are safe.

In accordance with the Election Commission guidelines the entire proceedings from breaking the seal, candidates inspection of EVMs and resealing of the strong room was videotaped.
