In Kuwait, the no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister would be tabled for discussion on 5th of next month. According to Speaker Jassem Al-Kharafi, 10 MPs have tabled a no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.According to Kuwait’s official news agency, the motion was submitted following a closed-door interpellation by MPs against Prime Minister with a single item on breach of the Kuwaiti Constitution and Violation of Public Freedoms. Article 101 of the Constitution states that if the Assembly passes a vote of no-confidence against a Minister, he is considered to have resigned his office. Nevertheless, if the National Assembly decides that it cannot cooperate with the Prime Minister, the matter is submitted to the Amir who may either relieve the Prime Minister of office and appoint a new Cabinet or dissolve the National Assembly. The Prime Minister, who took office in 2006, survived a confidence vote a year ago.
