No cold wave conditions to occur over North India during next one week: IMD

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that no cold wave conditions will occur over North India during the next one week. It, however, predicted that light and moderate isolated to scattered rainfall and thunderstorms is likely to occur over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, North Rajasthan and West UP on 23rd of this month and it may increase thereafter over the area with scattered to fairly widespread rainfall during 24th to 27th of this month. The IMD added that Delhi is also likely to witness light and moderate rains during 24th to 27th January.<br />'' <br />''Isolated hailstorms are likely to  persist over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh on 23rd and 24th of this month. Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh are also expected to witness isolated hailstorms on 24th January.
