Finance Ministry today clarified that there is no change on concessional rate of tax on certain interest income of FPIs. There were reports in certain section of media that concessional tax rate of 5 percent has been withdrawn. Ministry said the concessional rate of tax of 5 percent shall continue to be applicable.
