The United States president Barack Obama says, there will be no change of strategy in Afghanistan despite the departure of top general Stanley McChrystal this week. General McChrystal was relieved of his command after he and his staff made derogatory comments about the Obama administration during interviews with Rolling Stone magazine. Head of Central Command General David Petraeus has now been tasked with the task of running the war effort in Afghanistan. But Mr. Obama insists his change of commander does not mean a change in strategy and the mission in Afghanistan will continue seamlessly, including plans to start withdrawing US troops next year.<br/>
