No change in Pak’s policy of extending support to terrorist: India

The Centre has again expressed its concerns on terrorism emanating from the Pakistani soil and Pakistan's negligent attitude towards combating it. <br/><br/>Addressing the top brass of the Indian Air Force in New Delhi today, the Defence Minister Mr. A K Antony said, though India has restarted dialogue with Pakistan, there has been no change in Pakistan’s policy of extending support to the terrorist activities and the terrorist infrastructure on its soil. He said that it is high time that Pakistan took action on the ground to match its words. <br/><br/>Mr. Antony asserted that though India wants peaceful relations with Pakistan, it must keep a strict vigil on the developments there and further strengthen its Defence forces. He absorved that aerospace power will prove to be crucial in future conflicts. <br/><br/>The Defence Minister stressed on the constant modernisation of the IAF. Mr. Antony said, India’s strategic location – both from a geographical and geopolitical standpoint, poses several challenges. <br/><br/>The Minister noted, the security environment in South Asia continues to be a matter of concern. <br/>
