No change broadcasting policy: I & B Minister

Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tiwari has said the government has no intention to change the broadcasting policy. Addressing the employees of the public broadcaster on his visit to the Broadcasting House in New Delhi today, he urged the employees to work together to carry on its golden journey to new heights. The minister said for the country to become a global power, the communication style needs to be in consonance with changing times.

Highlighting the role of AIR, he said it gives voice to crores of people in the country and the neighbouring countries connected with it. Mr Tiwari said that community radio stations will provide a competitive landscape to the broadcaster.
