No breakthrough in release of abducted police officer by Maoists

<br/>In Orissa, there has been no breakthrough in the release of abducted police officer by Maoists from Daitari police station in Keonjhar districts. Armed Maoists have abducted one ASI of Police, Umesh Chandra Marandi, four-days back after setting the police station on fire. Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik, has said at Bhubaneswar that efforts are on to set the abducted police officer free and combing operation is going on to find whereabouts of the police officer.<br/> Meanwhile, Superintendent of Police of Keonjhar has said the Maoists have not placed any demand for release of the police officer. A section of the media have reportedly received telephone calls from a top Maoist leader to stop police atrocities on tribal of Keonjhar and Kalinga Nagar in Jajpur district in lieu of setting the abducted police officer free.
