The Government today made it clear that there was no bilateral meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Italian counterpart Matteo Renzi at United Nations General Assembly in September 2015. <br/><br/>In a statement, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup said, various cases under Prevention of Corruption Act and Prevention of Money Laundering Act are being pursued against Agusta deal middleman James Christian Michel by India. <br/><br/>He said, an open ended non-bailable arrest warrant has been issued by the Special Judge of Central Bureau of Investigation, CBI against Michel in September last year. Mr Swarup said, upon a CBI request a Red Corner notice against him was issued by the Interpol Headquarters in November. <br/><br/>The Spokesperson said, a request for provisional arrest for the purpose of extradition was made to the UK authorities on January this year by CBI. He said, in February this year, the Enforcement Directorate has also separately sent a Red Corner notice seeking arrest and a request for his extradition from the UK.
