The National Minorities Development and Finance Corporation, NMDFC, has disbursed over 131 crore rupees to more than 32,000 beneficiaries in the first half of the current fiscal. The amount was disbursed under the Term Loan and Micro Financing schemes of the NMDFC. The total number of beneficiaries has also crossed last year’s mark for the period.

AIR Correspondent adds, the NMDFC was set up in September 1994 to promote economic and developmental activities for the benefit of Backward Section amongst the minorities including the occupational groups and women.
