The National Mission for Clean Ganga will observe Ganga Swachhta Sankalp Divas on 2nd of next month at various places in the river's basin states. <br/><br/>The objective of the day is to spread awareness and involve masses through pledge reiterating their commitment to clean Ganga through a series of events like Swachhta sandesh rally, Shram daan and plantation. <br/><br/>An official release said, the events will be organised at places, including Kanpur, Allahabad, Varanasi, Devprayag, Patna ,Sahibganj and Kolkata. <br/><br/>Water Resources and Ganga Rejuvenation Minister Uma Bharti will attend the events lined up in Vidhur Kuti, Srinagar of Uttarakhand and Devprayag.The pledge day will also be organised at 30 other locations through Ganga Vichaar Manch and volunteer support.
