In Maharashtra, Nashik Municipal Corporation Commissioner Sanjay Khandare has been transferred on the recommendation of the Election Commission of India following complaints of alleged violation of the model code of conduct against him.

Khandare was transferred last evening and Tribal Development commissioner Sanjeev Kumar has been asked to take additional charge of the NMC.
