<span style="color: #222222;">National Monuments Authority observed the Martyrdom Day of the great Sikh warrior Baba Banda Singh Bahadur at Red Fort in New Delhi today. The event was attended by the Union Minister of State for Culture Meenakshi Lekhi, the Authority's Chairman Tarun Vijay and Baba Jatinder Pal Singh Sodhi, who is tenth generation descendant of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur.<br />''<br />''Speaking on the occasion, Ms Lekhi said, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur defended the honour of the Sikh religion by sacrificing his life and his courage should not be forgotten. She assured all support for declaring Banda Bahadur martyrdom place a national monument. The Minister stated that the youth of Punjab should take inspiration from Baba Banda Singh Bahadur.</span><br />
