Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai released books published by Bureau of Police Research and Development, BPRD in New Delhi on Friday. In his address, Mr Rai said,  BPRD is committed to ensuring their capacity building to meet emerging challenges before police forces. He said, the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved continuation of the Umbrella Scheme of Modernization of Police Forces with central financial outlay of worth 26 thousand 275 crore rupees for the period of 2021-22 to 2025-26. The Minister said, this continues the initiative by the Home Minister Amit Shah for modernization and improvement of the functioning of the police forces of the States and Union Territories. He said, it is imperative for police forces to create public awareness about cyber crimes and it is equally important to train police forces for investigating the cyber crimes actively and effectively. <br />
