Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today came out in support of full statehood for Delhi and said JD(U) in coordination with other parties will raise the issue in Parliament. Talking to media after meeting with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the national capital, Mr. Kumar criticized the Centre on the issue saying people have voted for Aam Aadmi Party and they will hold it responsible in this matter.

He said since the government is accountable to people, the Delhi Chief Minister should have the power to choose departmental secretaries. The meeting between the two leaders assumes significance ahead of the Bihar polls as both are known to be bitter opponent of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The AAP has reportedly decided to give tactical support to Nitish Kumar by campaign against the BJP and not fielding its candidates.
