In an initiative towards weeding out corruption, the Bihar Chief Minister Mr. Nitish Kumar today made it mandatory for public servants to declare their assets every year. Mr. Kumar told newspersons in Patna today that circulars have been issued to the Grade I to Grade III public servants, making it mandatory for them to declare their assets every year.The Chief Minister said he and his cabinet colleagues have also decided to declare their assets voluntarily.Listing priorities before the government after NDA pulled off a landslide victory in Bihar, Mr. Kumar said he would soon meet the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh seeking the Centre's help for development of Bihar. He said, the Prime Minister has congratulated him on the victory and also promised full cooperation and support.
