Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar again urged the centre to back up its demonetisation effort with crackdown on benami property, illegal possession of huge quantity of gold and on the liquor mafia to take the drive against corruption to its logical conclusion.<br/><br/>Mr Kumar has also welcomed the ordinance passed by the centre to penalise people holding scrapped currency notes of 500 and 1000 rupee denomination. <br/><br/>On the other hand, RJD President Lalu Prasad said, the centre's decision to bring in an ordinance to settle the liability of scrapped notes is a face saving move by PM to wriggle out of the legal complexities post demonitisation. <br/><br/>Mr. Prasad denied any difference with Mr Nitish Kumar over the stand on demonitisation, claiming that he had already announced to review the situation after completion of the 50-day deadline.
