JD (U) leader Nitish Kumar will be sworn in as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the second term tomorrow. Earliar the JD (U)-BJP combine led by Nitish Kumar has swept the Assembly elections in Bihar by winning more than three-fourth majority. JDU – BJP combine has notched a spectacular tally of 206 seats in the 243-member House. JDU alone won 115 seats just 7 seats short of majority. BJP bagged 91 seats. The RJD-LJP alliance and Congress have fared badly. RJD was way behind getting only 22 and LJP got 3. Congress won 4 seats and others 8. Reacting on the poll outcome, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said, the results are victory of the people and the verdict will be disappointment for those doing caste based politics. He said, he will have to work harder than he did in last five years. . Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has congratulated Nitish Kumar. Dr Singh assured him that the Centre will work with the state government for the development of Bihar. Congress leader Sonia Gandhi said it was a deliberate decision of the party to go it alone in the Bihar polls. Accepting the outcome of the assembly polls, the Congress spokesman Manish Tiwari said the party fought the elections in the state on its own and there were difficulties in doing so.BJP President Nitin Gadkari said the voters have favoured the good work done by Nitish Kumar. Another party leader Venkaiah Naidu said, the victory for the NDA in Bihar was for the development of the State.
