Nitish Kumar sworn in as Bihar CM

Nitish Kumar has been sworn in as Bihar Chief minister for the second term leading a 29 member NDA government. He was administered oath of office and secrecy today by state governor Devanand Konwar at the historic Gandhi maidan in Patna.AIR Patna Correspondent reports that Sushil Kumar Modi, state JD (U) President Vijay Kumar Chaudhary,Bijendra Prasad yadav,Praveen Amanullah and Sukhada Pandeya have been included in the cabinet. There are eleven new faces and three women ministers including Renu Kumari. While 18 members of the JD(U) were included in the ministry,11 members of the BJP led by Deputy Chief Minister designate Sushil Kumar Modi also took oath of office and secrecy. State Advocate General Prasant Kumar Sahi resigned from his post and took oath of the post of minister. Besides JD(U) President Sharad Yadav and BJP President Nitin Gadkari a galaxy of leaders including L. K. Advani, Sushma Swaraj,Arun Jaitely, Rajnath Singh, Ananth Kumar and Shatrughan Sinha were present on this momentous occasion.
