Nitin Gadkari stresses need to ensure proper implementation of PM's Ujjwala Yojana

Union Minister for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping Mr. Nitin Gadkari has stressed the need to ensure proper implementation of the Prime Minister's Ujjwala Yojana so as to provide relief to the needy and poor women in various parts of the country. He was speaking at the District-level Launching ceremony of Ujjwala Yojana in Nagpur today.<br/><br/>Union Minister for State for Petroleum Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan informed that one crore and twenty lakh families have been given cooking gas connections during the last eight months which also included four and half lakh families in Maharashtra. Around 35 lakh poor families still do not have the facility even now and they would be covered within a span of two years, he added. Maharashtra Chief Minister Mr. Devendra Fadnavis was also present on this occasion.<br/><br/>The foundation stone was also laid for various development projects including a flyover between Liberty Talkies and Mental Hospital and a tunnel road totaling to 1,510 crore rupees in the city today.<br/><br/>Union Minister Mr. Nitin Gadkari and Maharashtra Chief Minister Mr. Devendra Fadnavis also attended the inaugural ceremony of Vedic Symposium conducted as a part of the three-day Dharmasanskruti Mahakumbha arranged in Nagpur today. The Chief Minister assured all possible cooperation for preservation of the rich ancient cultural heritage of our Vedas all over the country.<br/>
