Union minister for Road, Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has carried a site visit and inspection of 8 lane Delhi-Mumbai greenfield expressway near Dausa in Rajasthan today.  Interacting to the media Mr. Gadkari said that 1 thousand 350 KM long express way is the world's longest 8 lane expressway. He said that it is a road of growth and development. Mr. Gadkari told that 374 km stretch of the expressway passes through Rajasthan. Construction of this section will cost more than 18 thousand crores. This corridor will pass through seven districts of the state including Alwar, Bharatpur, Dausa, Sawai Madhopur, Tonk, Bundi and Kota. special interchange has been developed on this corridor near Dausa which will connect the expressway with existing Agra-Jaipur highway.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">AIR correspondent reports that several steps have been taken to have minimum impact on the ecosystem. The expressway passes through Ranthambore Tiger Reserve and Chambal Sanctuary.  Animal overpass are to be available for smooth movement of wildlife. India's first 4-km long 8-lane tunnel will also be built in this expressway, which will pass through Mukundara Tiger Reserve. A 1100 meter long elevated stretch has been planned across the Chakan Dam. World class facilities for travellers will be developed at 28 places to generate employment opportunities in the state.  The construction work of 214 km along the Delhi-Dausa-Lalsot section in the state is expected to be completed by March 2022 and to open it for traffic. This highway will prove to be helpful in connecting tribal and backward areas with the mainstream along with giving boost to the economic development of the state. </span><br />
