Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari today appealed the people to give priority to the Public transport for traveling. He was speaking at the Golden Jubilee function of Central Institute of Road Transport in Bhosari near Pune. He said that for our Nation public transport is a High Way towards development and we are committed to broaden this Highway. <br/><br/>Mr. Gadkari also inaugurated National Conference on Safe and Sustainable Public Transport organised by CIRT. He Gadkari further said that in every district a committee will be formed under the chairmanship of District Magistrate to give suggestions for Road safety. <br/><br/>This committee will give suggestions for avoiding Accidents and will give information regarding Accident Prone areas in that District. On the basis of these suggestions preventive action will be taken.<br/><br/>While giving assurance that Access Control Highways will be constructed all over the country Mr. Gadkari appealed to the people to opt for new technology and use environment friendly vehicles.
