Union Road, Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari announced to develop Delhi – Amritsar express highway at the cost of 60,000 crore rupees. <br/><br/>He was speaking on the occasion of foundation laying ceremony for the 4 lane project of 145 KM Jalandhar-Barnala road and 39.125 KM long Jalandhar-Hoshiarpur road at Jalandhar . <br/><br/>He said that the up-gradation of road infrastructure would go a long way to boost the economic development of the state.<br/><br/>Mr. Gadkari today laid foundation stones of 13 major projects in Punjab amounting to 10290.88 crore rupees at Ropar, Samrala and Jalandhar.
