Niti Aayog has shortlisted States for transformative change in health and education sectors under its SATH initiative (Sustainable Action for Transforming Human capital). <br/><br/>In health sector, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Assam, Karnataka and Gujarat have shortlisted. <br/><br/>In education, the shortlisted States are Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Andhra Pradesh, of which three will be selected. <br/><br/>The States have to commit to a time-bound focus, governance reforms and delivery of outcomes. <br/><br/>An official release said the states were shotlisted after presentation by 14 states for each of the two social sectors. Niti Ayog will provide strategic, technical and implementation support in the sector to selected states.
