NITI Aayog organized a workshop in Delhi, today, to bring together states, urban local bodies, central ministries and other stakeholders to deliberate on various aspects of smart cities.<br/><br/>The workshop "Transforming Urban India: Developing Smart and Sustainable Cities" provided a platform for exchange of ideas and knowledge among key stakeholders on issues related to the development of smart and sustainable cities.<br/><br/>The Smart Cities Mission was recently launched by the Government of India. Under this Mission, the State and Central governments have been entrusted with the responsibility to select and develop 100 smart cities in the country.<br/><br/>The Centre for Study of Science, Technology and Bengaluru is the knowledge partner for this event.
