The Government today denied any decline in exports post demonetisation. Replying to supplementaries in the Rajya Sabha, Commerce Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said the decline in exports is primarily due to the global economic and trade slow down. <br/><br/>However she said there has been a positive growth of 4.37 per cent, in rupees terms, in merchandise exports from April to December 2016 compared to the same period of the previous year. She further said the Government has paid adequate attention to the situation and taken several steps to address the same.
