Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Nirmal Verma commissioned today Indian Navy's fourth Fleet Tanker Shakti at the Naval Dockyard in Visakhapatnam.

Built at the Fincantieri Shipyard, Italy, Shakti was formally handed over to the Indian Navy on 23 September at the Eastern Naval Command.

Speaking on the occasion he said the role of Indian Navy is expanding to the farthest parts of the world alongside its fleet expansion.
