<span style="color: #222222;">National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj has certified 395 Master Resource Persons (MRPs) of Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj in Jammu and Kashmir under project Transforming India through strengthening Panchayati Raj Institutions by continuous Training and e-enablement. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR, Jammu correspondent reports that these MRTs were trained in collaboration with NIRD &amp; PR and Department of RD &amp; PR, J&amp;K. The training module conducted in 2019-20 was developed to create a pool of master trainers who further imparted training to elected PRI members of J&amp;K with an aim to improve the functioning and effectiveness of PRIs, to boost rural development, facilitate participatory democracy and reinforce accountability at grassroots level. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">These MRTs have provided induction training to 3,560 Sarpanchs and 23,660 Panchs and they were instrumental in providing GPDP trainings to 47, 275 Sarpanchs, SHG members, Panchayat functionaries and officers in November, 2019. They will continue to take up training programmes at various levels to ensure a vibrant PRI system in J&amp;K.</span><br />'' &nbsp;
