<span style="color: #222222;">In Tripura, a baseline assessment survey has begun under the National Initiative for Proficiency in Reading with Understanding and Numeracy, also called as NIPUN Bharat Mission. In this 5-day long baseline survey, the level of learning of all students studying in class 2 in over 4000 government and Government-aided primary schools will be assessed.</span> <br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The program, also known as NIPUN Tripura in the state, is being implemented as per a mandate of the National Education Policy 2020. The main goal of the program is that every child gains foundational numeracy and literacy by the end of Grade 3. It also focuses on transforming the monotonous education system into an integrated, enjoyable, all-inclusive and engaging one. Nipun Tripura Nodal Officer under the Department of Primary Education Abhijit Samajpat said this adding that in the baseline survey, hundreds of teachers began survey works on  Tuesday under the supervision of District Education Officers, Inspectors of Schools and Nipun Coordinators of eight districts of the state. </span><br />
