Engaging young Indian Diaspora will be high on the agenda at the ninth Pravasi Bhartiya Divas convention. Releasing the convention schedule in New Delhi today, Union Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs Vayalar Ravi said that the upcoming convention will focus on industrial investment in all eight north-eastern states. Investment in education and health care facilities will be also discussed with the Diaspora. Mr. Ravi further said that along with his ministry, eight north eastern state governments, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region will also participate in the conclave to be held in New Delhi early next year. He informed that Pravasi Bhartiya Divas African convention is also being organised in Durban from 2nd of next month which will coincide with the birthday of Mahatama Gandhi and a year long celebrations to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the arrival of Indians in South Africa.
