The ninth edition of Jaffna International Cinema Festival will begin today at the Jaffna Cultural Centre. The six-day event will showcase films from various countries in general and the subcontinent in particular. Several debut and short films will also be premiered during the festival. The works of noted Indian filmmaker Mrinal Sen will be screened in Mrinal Sen Retrospective section.
