In a joint operation by the Indian Coast Guard and Indian Navy, nine workers stranded in the rough sea on TUG Coromandal Surrender IX were rescued at Mulkhi Rock off Karnataka coast today. The Indian Coast Guard ship Varaha rescued five survivors and the Indian Navy ship IN 702 winched four survivors.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The TUG vessel with the workers was caught in the rough sea during Cyclone Tauktae. Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa has thanked the coast guards and the Indian Navy for rescuing the nine workers. The stranded workers were medically examined after the rescue and were found in a healthy state.</span><br />
