In Tamil Nadu, nine school children and a teacher were killed when a van carrying 23 school children skidded from the road and fell into a pond at a village near Vedaranyam, Nagapattinam District on Thursday. Nine other children have been rescued from the pond till now and were rushed to the General Hospital at Vedaranyam. Search is on full swing to rescue the others.
