Nine students and a teacher drowned after a school van fell into a pond at Vedaranyam near Nagapattinam on Thursday morning. There were 23 persons inside the vehicle which slipped from the road and fell into the pond. Rescue and search operations are on full swing. The rescued children were admitted to the General Hospital at Vedaranyam.<br/><br/><br/>
