Nine regional parties have become members of the North East Democratic Alliance, NEDA. The Convener of the alliance Himanta Biswa Sarma told AIR that three parties from Assam including Asom Gana Parishad and two parties from Meghalaya became part of it. <br/><br/>One political party each from Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Sikkim also included in the alliance. He said that the first convention of the alliance will be held in Guwahati. North East Democratic Alliance is an arm of the ruling National Democratic Alliance.
