In Uttar Pradesh nine prisoners, including seven convicts have escaped from Meerut district jail. AIR Lucknow correspondent reports of them 7 are from Meerut while 2 are from Muzaffarnagar district. The state government has suspended 15 jail personnel, including the senior superintendent deputy jailer, two jail wardens and 11 prison guards in this connection. As per reports available prisoners escaped from Chaudhary Charan Singh district jail by scaling the prison wall with the help of a rain water pipe during the wee hours yesterday. A Manhunt has begun to nab them.
