In Chattisgarh, 9 policemen have been killed in a naxal attack in the Gariabandh area of Raipur district last night. One policeman is still missing after the naxal attack. Talking to AIR news, Mr. Mukesh Gupta, IG Police, Raipur said, a ten member police party led by ASP Mr. Rajesh Pawar was on a search operation in the Sunabeda area bordering Odisha. On their way back in the evening they ambushed by the naxalites near Amamora village. The policemen were travelling in a tractor after their vehicle broke down when naxalites triggered a land mine blast on the vehicle and resorted to firing killing all 9 policemen on the spot. Mr. Gupta said, the bodies of the policemen have been spotted and efforts are on to bring them to Garhiabandh.
