In Assam, nine extremist cadres belonging to anti-talk faction of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB), were arrested. The extremists including six women were arrested by police in Guwahati city and Jakhalabandha area of Nagaon district. Police recovered three pistols, three grenades, eleven bullets, and four magazines besides six cell phones from the miscreants. During interrogation, the militants revealed that they have collected the arms from Dimapur in Nagaland and carried them to Assam to carry on their underground activities. Meanwhile, two militants of the same group was eliminated by security forces during separate encounters at Misamari and Dhekiajuli areas of Sonitpur district.
