In a sudden development, the nine Ministers who had submitted their resignation letters to Karnataka Chief Minister Sadanand Gowda, have agreed to withdraw them. Speaking to media persons, one of the rebels and Chief Minister Nominee from Yeddyurappa camp, Mr. Jagadish Shetter confirmed that they will withdraw their resignations. He informed that Central leaders have agreed to hold talks with them but before that have asked them to withdraw their resignations. The BJP sources have confirmed that the Central leaders have in principle agreed to consent to their demand to make Rural Development Minister Jagadish Shetter as the next Chief Minister of Karnataka.
AIR Correspondent adds that the present Chief Minister Sadanand Gowda, the party state President Eeshwarappa and the nine Ministers who had resigned, are proceeding to Delhi to participate in the conciliatory talks.
