In Jharkhand, nine Maoists were killed in an encounter with the Police in village Lahur under Barwadih division in Latihar district. Speaking to our Ranchi correspondent the Superintendent of Police of Latihar said that the naxal had assembled in the village and the police came to know about it in the night itself. Immediately a task force was constituted under Sub Divisional Police Officer of Barwadih. CRPF jawans also took part in the operation that lasted for three hours.
