Since then, the institute has received over 4.48 lakh calls, mostly by people facing anxiety and stress arising out of the pandemic.<br />”<br />”The Professor and Head of Department of Psychological Care and Disaster Management in NIMHANS, Dr. K Sekar informed AIR News that 810 mental health professionals are addressing issues of distress in 12 Indian languages across the country during the pandemic. He said that right now 53,858 follow-up calls are handled by them.</span><br />
