The President Smt. Pratibha Devi Singh Patil's ongoing 11-day visit to Hyderabad on her winter sojourn once again reminds about the Rashtrapati Nilayam and its flora. With the President's visit, the Nilayam is agog with activity.

The President would be staying in Rashtrapati Nilayam upto the 4th of January. She would be visitng Indian Space Research Organisation, ISRO, tomorrow.

The President of India's official retreat, the Rashtrapati Nilayam is spread on an area of 90 acres and is a single storied building. This 150 years old building has 11 rooms including Cinema Hall, Darbar Hall.

The President of India visits the Rashtrapati Nilayam and stays there at least once in a year and conducts official business from the Nilayam.
