In Assam, social activist from Nagaland Niketu Iralu has been chosen for Upendra Nath Brahma Soldier of Humanity Award for the year 2011. 75 year old Mr. Iralu is the Chairman of Naga Reconciliation Committee.The award will be given on 24th of the next month in a ceremony to be held at Kokrajhar in Assam. Jnanpith award winner Dr.Indira Goswami, social activist and writer Maheswata Devi, among others, earlier received the award.
