Nigerian Acting President Goodluck Jonathan has dissolved the cabinet appointed by ailing president Umaru Musa Yar'Adua over a month ago. Asserting his authority over the government in Nigeria, Jonathan asked the ministers during the weekly executive council meeting to hand over the charge to the most senior person in their ministries. Former information minister Dora Akunyili told the reporters after the cabinet meeting that the Acting President gave no reason for dissolution.
