Niger has rejected a call from the West African regional group, ECOWAS to postpone indefinitely parliamentary elections scheduled for tomorrow. ECOWAS imposed limited sanctions on Niger and demanded the elections be postponed after President Mamadou Tandja forced through constitutional changes that allowed him to stay in power indefinitely. <br/>
