In West Bengal, one of the Prime accused Nicol Tamang in the murder of Akhil Bhartiya Gorkha League's former President- Late Madan Tamang escaped from police custody from Pintal village near Siliguri in Darjeeling district this morning. Nicol tamang was arrested by the police recently and later he was produced before district court in Darjeeling. The court ordered to send him in 12 days remand. The I.G. Police North Bengal range Mr. Ranbir Singh told reporters in Siliguri that all the police stations in North Bengal have been alerted. It may be recalled that Gorkha League Leader Madan Tamang was murdered in broad day light in Darjeeling on 21st May last when he was preparing to organise a public meeting to celebrate party's establishment day.
