NIA to seek Pakistan help in cracking Pathankot terror attack case

The National Investigation Agency, NIA, will seek help of Pakistan in solving the Pathankot terror attack case once the identity of people contacted by the perpetrators has been established. Speaking to media in New Delhi, Director General of NIA, Sharad Kumar said, solving the conspiracy behind the attack is a very big challenge.

He said, a lot of investigation needs to be done and the agency is not fixing any deadline to the case but it will try to complete the probe soon. When asked about the nationality of the terrorists involved in Pathankot attack, Mr Kumar said, whatever evidence that is available till now is based on intercepted telephone calls between the terrorists and their handlers and family members across the border. He, however, refrained from naming the terror group responsible for the attack. Mr Kumar will be flying tomorrow to the Pathankot Indian Air Force base for an on-the-spot assessment.
