NIA secures arrest warrant against JeM chief Masood Azhar

The National Investigation Agency(NIA) today secured non-bailable arrest warrants against Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) chief Maulana Masood Azhar and three others in connection with Pathankot terror strike. <br/><br/>Talking to AIR, Inspector General of NIA, Sanjiv Kumar Singh said, the three others are Azhar's brother Abdul Rauf, Shahid Latif and Kashif Jaan. He said, all are linked to JeM and are accused in terror attack.<br/><br/>Mohali based a special NIA court issued the open-ended non-bailable warrant against them for allegedly entering into a criminal conspiracy with JeM terrorists for carrying out a terror strike on the air base. <br/><br/>The court issued the arrest warrant after weighing the evidence presented by NIA before it which included telephonic conversation between the terrorists and the Jaish handlers. <br/><br/>The video of Rauf was also presented before the court in which he had claimed responsibility for the attack. <br/><br/>The NIA has already sought voice samples of Azhar and three others from Pakistan's Joint Investigation Team which came to India for carrying out a probe in the Pathankot terror attack.<br/><br/>The strategic base was attacked by terrorists of banned JeM in January this year in which seven security personnel were martyred . Four bodies of terrorists were recovered from the encounter site.
